Discovery2 currently in Barcelona

d2 is in Barcelona today. Not gue to leave until about 8 tonight. Hope all the passengers and staff are safe and not caught up in the terrorist attack.

I was about to start the same thread. We are there in two weeks on D2. ( well may not be now) Watching news with live reports. Sure that the boat will check everyone is on board. Prayers out to all involved.

Prayers indeed! Was there 6 weeks ago today. Ship doesn't depart until 8pm so a lot of people will still be out and about. Las Ramblas leads to the port area. Just hoping everyone is safe and well. A lot of staff disembark in the afternoon also! Thoughts are with them.

A lot of people onboard posting on the Facebook page. A lot of passengers and staff in lockdown in bars and cafes for their own safety. Captain Chris has announced the ship will not leave till everyone safely back on board. Would expect nothing else from him.

At hose on board posting that all passengers and staff are safe. They are waiting for those caught up in this to be escorted back to the ship. Captain Chris announced they will not sail till everyone back on board. People saying how brilliant the staff have been throughout what must be an incredibly difficult afternoon/evening. No surprise there, thomson staff are the best at sea!

The posts from those onboard who are members of the facebook page says they are expecting the final 14 passengers to be back onboard in the next half an hour. All crew back on board.

So pleased to hear all crew and passengers will be safely back on board shortly and so sorry for those injured and the relatives of the person killed There were a number of ships in Barcelona today so let's hope they're all safe too

I'll be there in September cruising on Majesty with two friends who have never cruised before and we are all glad we've been to Barcelona before so may just stay on board although it's unlikely to happen there again so soon Hopeful it'll be safe in Florence, Pisa and Rome - God willing

Yes the others are ferries and a couple are leaving now but they could also have been held up and of course have passengers
