Lindblad Expeditions Holdings, Inc. Acquires Land-Based Travel & Ecotourism Company

Expedition cruise line Lindblad will now have a partnership with the World Wildlife Fund through its acquisition of Natural Habitat, an adventure travel and ecotourism company based in Boulder, Colorado. The $20 million acquisition of Natural Habitat, also called Nat Hab, means that a partnership with the WWF has been extended to December 31, 2023. Nat Hab has been partners with the WWF since 2003. Nat Hab's collection of tours, such as Alaskan grizzly bear adventures or small-group African safaris, will allow Lindblad to expand its variety of excursions that focus on responsible travel and conservation.

It sounds like Lindblad is revisiting its past. We had our first African safari with the original Lindblad Travel back in 1987 - also had a land based tour of New Zealand a bit later. It will be interesting to see how they combine cruises with land based extensions provided by this group.
