Both ships have a thalassotherapy pool within the spa area, both have a spa restaurant called Samsara Restaurant. This restaurant is also open to other passengers who pay the fee, also to various membership levels of the Costa Club who get a free meal there.

There is no separate sun deck area, but there are relaxation rooms in the spa.

delisioza has a small sundeck accessed via the spa area- it small, quiet but windy at times as at the very front of the ship- no bar service but you can take water and tea from the spa area out there.

No music just the sound of the waves

:cool:That sounds idyllic!

Think we'll give a Samsara cabin a go very soon although we haven't been terribly impressed by the food in the Samsara restaurant so far. Service and ambience were very pleasant but what was on the plate was rather disappointing.

Is anyone able to confirm that you can have breakfast and lunch as well as dinner in the Samsara restaurant at no extra charge if you are a Samsara guest please? Maybe the food at these times would be less important but peacefulness (and good service) would be worth a lot.

Thank you.

I don't think eating in the Samsara is included as a free option when you book a Samsara cabin. Have a look when you do a dummy booking what they include. Was not that impressed with the freebie meals we had there in the past. Fusion food and some dishes a little misguided.

Hello bobbingbob. We have done 2 cruises in an inside samsara cabin but since they stopped giving the meals in the samsara restaurant and the free spa treatments we now stay in an ordinary cabin and buy a samsara pass once on board. This still gives access to the thermal area and pool etc as well as earning you more Costa points so you can climb the tiers more quickly. Top tier enables you to use the club restaurant for ALL meals as well as other perks. If you are a Club Pearl orGold pearl member this would include 1 Free meal to be taken in the Samsara restaurant Hope this helps. Happy cruising. :)

Thank you so much to Alicat and Bazboy for your quick and very helpful replies. I LOVE this forum as everyone is really helpful.

The UK Costa website appears to have some problems this weekend so I haven't been able to check much out re. departures, cabins, what's included etc. but I feel certain from your replies that a Samsara cabin comes with less perks than before.

We are now Perla Oro so we have in fact tried the Samsara restaurant for dinner a couple of times (both times on the Fascinosa) and frankly, we were really not impressed with the quality of the 'fusion' fare! We were, though, grateful not to have been paying extra for it as we would have been very disappointed.

Think we'll do as you suggest Bazboy and give the 'day pass' a go to see if we actually like what would be on offer if we opted for a Samsara cabin.

We are looking forward to the'super upgrade' (if we can get there before things change!) to a suite and the chance to try the Club Restaurant at no extra charge!

Many thanks again to you both (and also for the great reviews you post).

Cheers

Bob
