Fred Olsen v Thomson

Hi...we have cruised many times but on the bigger ships on many different cruise lines but never FO

We have cruised with Thomson..once...and was wondering if FO are similar to Thomson cruises with both lines offering smaller older ships. I suppose what I am looking for are comparisons between the 2 lines in regard to service...food quality...entertainment...general overall maintenance and general ambience.

I do realise that FO will not be like the "big boys" in what they offer....or maybe I am wrong and they do.

We have cruised with both Thomson & Fred & I have to say, my preference hadto be Fred Olsen now - I would say they are slightly more 'classy'

I have travelled with Fred and Thomson's and would say the obvious difference is the age demographic. Fred have a much 'maturer' clientèle. I would say Fred is also 'a little classier'. However I think the entertainment on Thomson's is superior.
