Mauritius, Seychelles, Madagascar on Costa neoRomantica?

We have found a 14nts cruise with Costa neoRomantica that goes to Mauritius, Seychelles, Madagascar. On paper it looks fantastic, but we have never cruised with Costa and we have never been to the Indian ocean.

This would be a part of our honeymoon . We are 24 and 35 years old and likes beaches more then big cities. We are not party animals.

The ship neoRomantica is a small and old ship, that doesn't need to be something bad but it can be. We did 21nts on Legend Of The Seas and liked that ship, we did 3nts on Majesty Of The Seas and couldn't wait to get off..

We have cruised on:

NCL Epic

Serenade Of The Seas

Allure Of The Seas

Legend Of The Seas x2

Majesty Of The Seas

Celebrity Equinox

We would cruise on any of them again except Majesty Of The Seas, our favorite ship would be Celebrity Equinox so far. We wish, however, that the average age would be a bit lower on the long Celebrity cruises. We know that longer cruises = higher average age (and we understand why).

Could Costa be something for us?

To us the itinerary sound like heaven, but we learned on our last cruise on Equinox that some places aren't what they seem to be. We had high expectations on Costa Rica but it wasn't even close to the paradise we thought it would be. I guess that you can find "paradise" in Costa Rica but not in Puerto Limon where we docked. Have anyone be to these ports and could tell us if the area around the ports are the paradise that we are looking for?

The neoRomantica is an old ship, but was refurbished in 2014 for something like €90 million. Costa is the only cruise line that does such a cruise.

From the ports of call, Seychelles, Mauritius and Reunion all have very good infrastructure that would meet European tastes, Madacasca is a third world country. All the ports are commercial with associated industries, but look beyond at the lush vegatation, the swaying coconut palms, the various turquois shades that the sea will display.

Belwo are threads that will give you some idea about this itinerary:

PS. We have booked this cruise for December 2016, we are going for the itinerary and just using the NeoRomantica as a floating hotel.
