denims Posted June 29, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 29, 2015 Is there a way to pre-book excursions on my Vikings River cruises before the trip? I have accessed my reservation on Vikings web site and can't find out how to do this. Thanks for your help!

RDC1 Posted June 29, 2015 #3 Share Posted June 29, 2015 From what I saw on my recent Viking cruise, not really any need to pre-book.
theremin Posted June 29, 2015 #4 Share Posted June 29, 2015 My wife and I have taken 2 Viking cruises and neither offered any pre-book arrangements. Our cruises had two types of optional excursions: Advertised and not advertised. The advertised excursions are listed as in the formal itinerary, but only available for booking once the cruise is underway. The not advertised ones appear to be variable (maybe seasonal?) things that are offered ad hoc during the cruise.
rjscott Posted June 29, 2015 #5 Share Posted June 29, 2015 Larry, The Program Director will discuss the optional excursions at the evening briefings and will advise how soon you need to book for each excursion and what the cost will be. If you see an excursion in your documents that you are very keen on and want to make sure you get booked on, go to the front desk after checking in and ask to book that particular excursion ( and others if you've already chosen).
