Cab in Barcelona, credit card?

Can we pay for cab with credit card in Barcelona?

(Is this a stupid question? We have found a restaurant we plan to visit and according to their website it's cash only, that's why I ask.)

Cabs: Yes, VISA or Mastercard.

Some small restaurants (very few) don't accept ccards but the vast majority do.

I would confirm with the cab driver before you enter the cab that the credit card machine is working. We've had that surprise before.

I really think that it must be up to the driver to inform about that if credit card payment is common. I will remember to ask about it if it's important that I can pay with card, maybe when we are going to the airport.
