Forest Canyon Jetboat or Blue Baths Tea excursion

Hi, we will be cruising New Zealand and Australia in November this year on Celebrity Solstice and one of our

ports of call is Tauranga.

We are trying to decide between two excursions and would appreciate any feedback on either to help us decide.

1. Forest Canyon Jetboat & Hells Gate Experience
   

1. Blue Baths Tea & Rotorua Thermal Outing

Both excursions go to thermal areas. Whakarewarewa has the Pohutu Geyser which is quite spectacular, but Hells Gate is nicer overall, although it's quite a few years since I last went there.

It really boils down to whether you want to do a jet boat ride, which is great fun and a classic NZ experience, or go to the Blue Baths - here's some info about the Blue Baths. http://www.bluebaths.co.nz/

I think the Jet-boat ride is the way to go.

I must admit I'd go for the jet boat ride too, I've always enjoyed them. Exhilarating!

Enjoy the excursion and Solstice. She's a lovely ship, we've been on her twice.

Remember to pack some warm layers, including a warm hat, scarf and gloves. NZ can still be quite cool in November, especially down south.
