Atlantis for free?

If we take a taxi to Atlantis, what can we do/see at paradise island/Atlantis without charge? Has anyone done this? Any idea how long this can occupy us? We really want to get up close to it....... we just do not want to pay the large amount.

You can go into part of the lobby, if the casino is open, you can walk to it, unless you have booked an excursion, probably be disappointed

You cannot go into Atlantis (except casino) but the casino has the 3 beautiful glass sculptures. The rest is reserved for hotel guests.

You can walk down to the water and see the yachts. You can go into the shops by the water. If you take the water taxi. It will dock in that area.

If you really want to see some of the hotel, your best bet is to get the aquarium pass. It's something like $45 a person and you can see the aquarium and part of the grounds. If you do that and also walk around Marina Village next door, you could spend 2-3 hours.

Here is what we did: ferry to Atlantis $4 pp -take a taxi the ferry is overall not worth any difference in price. Walked through Atlantis and sea grape tunnel. Saw turtles, sting ray, fish, etc. We went on their beach and no one said anything to us. It was great! When we tried to use their stairs, they would not let us. My wife said she was not able to go another way (physically). They let us use their stairs.
