Have not cruised since 2011, and I have some questions.

We are getting ready to go on the Oasis in January--Since we have not cruised in five years, I have been trying to get back up to speed by reading through the archives. However, I do have a couple of questions:

1) We are diamond members, and I am aware of the fact that we will have 3 drinks loaded on our cards daily, in addition to or in lieu of going to the diamond lounge in the evening. On nights that we eat dinner in the Windjammer, where would be the closest open bar that we could pick up our drinks to take to dinner?

2) For the first time, instead of flying, we are going to be driving from Michigan. In years past, we would always come a day early, and take the shuttle from the hotel to the port; so I never paid much attention to the route taken--It seems as though we took 17th St? However, in

looking at the map, it appears as though we could take 595 straight to the terminal. Can anyone verify this?

Thanks in advance!

595 goes straight into Port Everglades.

Schooner might be the nearest inside bar to Windjammer. If you don't mind going outside, then the Pool Bar or Sand Bar would not be that far. Wipeout Bar is another outside choice.

Thanks Bob! I don't mind going outside--We have never been on the Oasis, but it seems as though on other ships, the Pool bar was closed during dinner. Although, I could be wrong--like I said, it has been several years...

Depending on your definition of "inside," the Solarium Bar's also an option.

On Oasis last month the pool bar opened at 9 am and didn't close until sometime after midnight. I was surprised by the late hours.
