Tattoo in Mazatlan

My niece wants a tattoo from mexico and we have a lot of free time in Mazatlan. Anyone have any knowledge about this? And yes, I'll take your opinions too just for the fun of it.

I have several tattoos, and also live part-time in Mexico. There is no way I would get a tattoo down here, especially a "quickie" tattoo.

I can't help but to share my opinion. I'm sorry haha I personally would just do it in the states before you go? I can't imagine that they have the same safety guidelines.. Doesn't mean I think they would do anything sinister but just be careful! Are you leaving out of long beach? There are like a gazillion amazing artists in long beach and LA or in San Diego :) good luck!
