dublin mini cruise

I am looking at a mini cruise to Dublin from Liverpool in Jan with Fred Olsen and wondering if cruise will be too rough to enjoy?? Has anyone any experience of the Irish sea in winter?

I've never done this cruise region but fwiw....when we had a 5 hour layover in Dublin in late July ....we froze....as we flew from sunny Italy and were dressed for that

It's anyone's guess. Higher chances, the sea will have some movement.

But ha, you'll be on a huge ship with stabilisers.

As already mentioned... it will be cold.

Hiya - we are booked onto this and are not too worried. I think nippy air and choppy seas can all be resolved with some good Irish whiskey!

Well, people use the ferries all the time from different ports- it takes a lot to cancel a ferry!

And, you're not going very far, so the captain will be able to plot and plan his route, or hold back a bit if the forecast is poor- but as mentioned, you're on a stable ship.

Yes, I know the conditions on the Irish sea- I live next to it- and it can be smooth or rough at any time of the year. :D

Thanks for your comments. I have been through Bay of Biscay in Dec and Jan so i'm sure this will be fine, just lots of that whiskey needed then! :)
