Shower Gel

Can anyone advise Is there shower gel provided or soap bars on NCL Getaway/Escape? Trying to keep my luggage weight down.

Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are provided.

Hi , Yes there is a shower gel and shampoo dispenser in the shower and a hand soap dispenser by the sink.

One less bottle to pack-one extra pair of shoes I can bring.

Bring fewer shoes, too! :)

You can ask for bar soap if you prefer that over the gel.

It was shower gel I was interested in - shoes, just took one pair out so only bringing 7 pairs now = but that does include my flipflops- I being good this cruise!

Take out at least 3 - 4 of the 7 pairs of shoes. You will only need:

1. flip flops

2. athletic shoes (only if you go to the gym or are going zip lining or doing other athletic type tour)

3. sandals that can be dressy or not - if you have Yellow box flip flops, you won't need sandals at all.

4. water shoes (only if you are going to the beach)

Keep it as simple as possible. Remember on NCL you don't need any formal clothes at all! This will save you a ton of space in your luggage!

Yellow Box is a brand name of flip flops. I never heard of it until now, so I googled it.

Sod the body wash - can use theirs or buy some on board - shoes are the priority!! Absolutely!!

OP opened the door by saying one less bottle means one more pair of shoes. Expect folks to take advantage of any openings. :D

Since we're giving packing advice, I think you should purchase your toiletries at the embarkation port or onboard. That leaves even more room for clothes & shoes. :D

Is NCL's gel antibacterial?

Most ships are also giving out soap bars. Started with the Escape last November. But we have seen it on five different cruises since. Nothing fancy, just a bar of lemongrass scented soap.

Ok. From what I recall regular cabins have a shower gel that smells manly and a cheap shampoo/conditioner. Buy some premium brand travel sizes you like and pack them in ziplocks in your shoes.
