I will be driving to Port Canaveral for the 1st time & need help.

I will be staying in a hotel the day before a cruise on the Sunshine I am platinum so I can get on the ship early, but I hear the port backs up at around 10:30 so what time should I drive over to the port if I want to get on early?

May depend upon day of week and what ships are in port, but a Sunday embarkation of Carnival Liberty for me, there was no back-up for parking. There was a short line that moved well to get into the area for luggage drop-off and no line to then get into the parking garage.

I arrived at the Port around 11:00 A. M.

The biggest thing that could back up traffic is I find the bridge goes up, that's 10-15 minutes of backup right there. I work at Cape Canaveral and when leaving for lunch in days with 2+ ships in port that aren't RCCL there will be some backup likely but doesn't usually seem too terrible.
