Port day when it's embarkation day for others

Hi, I'm hoping an experienced cruiser can help a first timer!

We're travelling on the MSC Orchestra in May, boarding in Barcelona. We will have a port day in Genoa which is also an embarkation port. Are there likely to be any issues getting back on board if we come back to the ship during the afternoon? Or if we wait and get off after lunch? I have a bad back at the moment and may struggle if out and about all day.

From our experience where passengers embarked at another port is that parts of the atrium where new passengers were embarking were roped off for existing passengers. We were directed off and back on through different entrances.

Thanks, with all the reports about embarkation being somewhat chaotic it's good to know they have arrangements in place for passengers already on board.

Just got back from Splendida. They had seperate lines and entrances for "in-Transit" and new passengers. It wasnt bad at all.

There's absolutely no problem coming back and forward - you walk straight through the terminal to a separate access to the ship from those who are embarking.

Sounds like it's a breeze!
