Cruise out of NY - Statue of Liberty

assuming DCL continues to use a Manhattan terminal Rob is correct.

 

In the chartlet below I've labeled an NCL ship at a Man' terminal, and SUMMIT in Jersey/Bayonne. If they shift to Bay' the Statue would be visible as you depart, but technically you would not "pass it". Same thing happens when Cunard departs from Red Hook .... you go near but don't "pass" .... semantics really . . .
