Port stop in Boston

Does anyone know if you have to pre purchase tickets for the Old Town Trolley or can you buy them at the Seaport stop?

The trolley route that serves the Seaport area is really a connector route. You can board the trolley there without a ticket and ride to Stop 1 at Faneuil Hall where you can purchase tickets for the main trolley route.

We'll be in Boston on Vision Sept 28. Thinking of the Ho/Ho trolley but wondering how crowded it's going to be. Don't want to miss touring time waiting to get back on but thinking end of September might not be so bad since summer tourist season is over. Do you know if we could walk to the green line stop before the bridge and get on there?

You could walk to stop 18 at the Westin Hotel, which is the stop before Black Falcon.
