what time will we be able to get of the ship in Istanbul?

We are sailing on SS Mariner arriving back to Istanbul on September 16th. We are staying there an extra day and want to get off

the ship quickly and get picked up by private transportation. Does anyone know how early we can get off and what time we should arrange for our transportation to pick us up?

You an get off of the ship as soon as it is cleared by the local authorities (this generally takes 30-45 minutes after docking - depending upon how many other ships are in port). You will be given departure information a few days before the end of your cruise. At that time you can indicate the time you wish to depart the ship. Regent gives you colored tags for your luggage. Your "color" should be called around the time you asked to disembark. You then pick up your luggage outside (in a building) and that's it!

We board that day, so the sooner you get off, the sooner we get on. (just joking.)

What Travelcat says is true. You can get off as soon as the ship is docked and cleared by local authorities.

If you're a world-class pole vaulter, you may be able to get off even sooner...

Just keep in mind that going through immigration in Istanbul can be very quick but if there is more than one ship in port it can be slow creating long lines. So, be patient that day.
