Victory: Last minute booking questions

We just decided to book a short Victory cruise for August. I have never been on Carnival (Usually Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, and Princess). I was wondering if anyone has any rooms to stay away from on Victory. We want a balcony and were thinking of a Guarantee but then really don't want an obstructed view so might just pick our room. With no experience on Carnival ships, we have no idea what to look for. Any suggestions on Rooms and/or the Carnival experience will be appreciated.

I would be happy to stay in the broom closet. I absolutely loved the old gal. I had a balcony cabin 7207 and it was amazing. I really don't think there is a bad cabin. I was in the very front of the ship, I could see the crew above me at night while sitting outside enjoying the sea air.
