Dialing in Barcelona

When we arrive in Barcelona for our Century cruise we have to call the hotel for the airport shuttle. Phone number on our reservation confirmation is 34 (93) 636XXXX. Can anyone tell me what I would have to dial & the cost for a local call??? Thanks in advance Jack

most will for no charge if asked...we always bring cellphone,for emergencies,,,just get country card...hate to use ,or try to find,local phones,,,such a hassle and never sure about money or how they work...then you can check country code, dial that ,then number,,just as given....Rick Steves books always give country codes and sure can find on internet,if you google it...less hassle to have own phone.....;)

hmm-are you dialing from a payphone in the airport? in that case you will dial the numbers after the country and city code-34 is the country code-and 93 is the city code for barcelona-so if you are dialing locally-you would dial only the numbers after the 93-the cost will be what ever you put in the payphone.

If you are dialing from a cell phone with a spanish SIM card-i.e the phone has a Spanish phone number-dial being with the 93 and the cost will be what ever the spanish carrier charges you.

If you are dialing from a GSM cellphone with a US number and an international sim card-depress the * key til +1 appears on your screen-the phone will automatically append whatever dialing code is required-the dial 34-93-ect. The cost will be what ever your carrier charges you for international roaming-verizon charges $1.29 a minute with out an international dialing plan and $.99 with it.
