How do you add 239 Cabins to a cruise liner? simple cut it in half

Thanks for sharing.

They make it look so easy. The extensions have come a long way from the first ones they did. We cruised on Norwegian Dream which had been stretched ,but that was a rather disjointed attempt and the insert made walking around the ship rather awkward.

And on a more serious note - no wonder that with extra cabins been added at every opportunity when the ships are in the dry dock (e.g Mariner of the Seas and Golden Princess) - and extra deck put on the newer Solstice class ships by the Celebrity - the quality of service goes down, as over crowding increases but the crew numbers do not.

You may be right, although I haven't noticed the difference in service on Celebrity Solstice over the years.

Agree - because fortunately, no extra cabins have been put on Solstice itself and original crew to pax ratio has been mostly retained..
