Taxi fare from Puerta Maya (Carnival port?) to Buccanos or Playa Azul?

Have you been yet? did you go to Buccanos?

We have been twice and have always booked through a guy at the pier. Was wondering how much you saved by just taking a taxi and if you had any trouble.

Thanks. (We are going in 3 weeks)

How much is it through the guy at the pier for return transport and admission? Which pier is this from?

Do you get a food and drink credit?

First time it was around 28$ per person for round trip and entrance only (plus use of snorkle equipment) Second time it was close to 30+ (cannot remember exactly but it was higher, and we tried haggling) for same service. but no credits are included for cruise ship guest. I contacted buccanos via facebook and they responded last night. 15$ at the gate and no credit.

So for 4 of us, we are looking at 60 plus 30 for taxi. so Guy at pier has to do close to that.

Thank you for the price updates.

Unfortunately, as much as we like Buccanos we don't like their pricing policy for cruisers and will continue to only visit on land vacations. Obviously the policy works for them as they have been following it for a number of years now.

We have our own snorkeling equipment, so $30 for a couple of loungers is not worth it to us. I have no problem with a minimum consumption charge for use of facilities. Unlike other islands where lounger rental is the norm there are way too many other options for a day in Cozumel.
