Car rentals at all islands

i think we are going to rent a car at all the islands we visit. We will be on the Grand Princess. I just want to find out where we will need to put our pick up location. In Oahu I believe I have to go to the airport, but in Hilo, Kauai and Maui (Lahaina), I am not sure. I'm checking Costco because I believe they may be cheaper. I just want to get the most out of our visit and it seems car rentals would be the best choice for the two of us.

Thanks

Thanks for your help.

Thank you. I noticed Honolulu does not let you drop off after 8 so that would mean we won't have time for a Luau

I think I may have mentioned this in another thread you started, but you should google the various luaus in the Waikiki area. I'd be surprised if most don't offer roundtrip transportation from several Waikiki hotels, so you don't necessarily have to drive yourself. Most probably don't.

Return your car in sufficient time to get to the pick up location. Just check the return time to make sure you'll have enough time to get back to your ship. Waikiki hotels to the ship should be about 15 min by taxi.

For some reason I thought the airport was close to the port and that is why the car rental agency automatically has the pick up and drop off at the airport. However if Waikiki is closer, I'll pick a car rental agency that is at one of the hotels. I'll figure this out.

Thanks
