Approximate cost of cab from Galveston hotel to cruise terminal

I am looking for info to see if it is more cost effective to take a cab or the hotel shuttles. I've been quoted $55.00 per room from the Marriott properties for a cab and I've seen others listed at $20/person. What does a cab generally cost for 2 people?

Definitely not $55.00 [emoji44] we took a cab in January before our cruise on the Breeze. There were four of us in a cab and it was $20.00 with a tip from the Candlewood Suites

Last time we took a cab from the days inn seawall for 3 it was about 20 bucks.
