Lahaina question

We are tendering in Lahaina so we are on the fence whether we should rent a car on this island. I would like to visit Kaanapali beach and from what I understand it is fairly close. Car rental is about $63. I'm wondering if that is worth it due to the fact we are in Maui from 7 to 6. I would say tendering will take off about 1 hour and then we would need to pick up and drop off the car. What do you all think is best?

To get to Ka'anapali beach, you can taxi for cheaper than a rental car, or take a shuttle, which I believe is a couple dollars per person, both of which are discussed here frequently. I wouldn't rent a car for $63. That is on the steep side.

Thank you. I found that high. All the other islands are about $35

Rentals from the west side of the island tend to be higher as there are fewer people booking over there. Booking over on the east side by the airport where the bulk of the tourists arrive is most likely closer to that $35.
