jondan Posted December 12, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 12, 2015 Arriving on Caribbean Princess on Dec. 23rd and looking for ideas to entertain the teenagers (age 13 and 16). Cavetubing / zipline looked like a good option. We don't have water shoes or sandals (and live in a cold winter climate so purchasing now is not an option). Suggestions? Can the shoes be rented? Debating this vs. a snorkeling tour...would love some input to keep the teens happy without breaking the bank. Thanks!!
Mpls35 Posted December 15, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 15, 2015 I haven't been yet- but we have reserved Vitalino's cave tubing tour. He sent an email that says water shoes can be rented for $3. We're in the same situation as you so will probably rent shoes. Or my son will wear his Keens strapped sandals.
blonde375 Posted December 15, 2015 #3 Share Posted December 15, 2015 We also live in a chilly climate and found water shoes at a local scuba dive shop. Also, Dick's Sporting goods usually sells the Skeletoes year round. Have a great trip. We are doing the same tour on 12/21.
nolatravelgirl Posted January 21, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 21, 2016 A little late, but as others have said you can rent shoes for $3 but they are used by multiple people and based on what I saw I didn't see any sanitation process involved for those shoes being returned. I would just plan on wearing an old pair of sneakers that you don't mind getting wet rather than wear rented shoes.
