Glad to hear that you received it also. Have fun with it and let me know if there are any questions at all.[/quote']

Ann, Since I received the file for the Slot Pull, I have had a computer crash and lost quite a bit. Would you please forward me another copy?

Thanks a million.

Ann,

Boy, your OP has long sea legs! Thanks for keeping up with all the posts over the years.

I've never even seen a slot pull, but it sounds like fun. Does each player do all their 5 pulls back to back or does each player do 1 pull then the next person on the list do theirs, and so on, until everybody has done all 5 turns each? Do you just write down what each pull wins to keep track of the highest winning player?

Could you please send me your spreadsheet and any instructions after your Aug cruise? My email is liveanddieinla@sbcglobal.net

Thanks so much!

Will be happy to send it again after I return from Europe on August 15th.[/quote']

Since you're going to be busy middle of August sending your slot pull spreadsheet out could you add me to the list. I would like to do this on our TA. Thanks. Love the Baltic cruises. Hope yours is going great. llargent16@gmail.com.

For what it is worth, Here's an easy way to organize slot pulls --I have done this on many cruises.

SLOT PULL

Easy rules

No need for lists or spreadsheet

-Meet in the casino near the bar

-Each person will sign in on a clipboard.

-each person brings $15 even in cash to play, plus 3 one dollar bills for change to help with returning uneven amounts after the game

-select a slot machine to play, at a maximum bet (Usually $3 a pull)

-In the order of names on the clipboard, Each person will put his/her own money into the machine and play the number of turns (usually5)

-Someone will record the highest amount each person wins for the group.

-leave all of the money in the machine until the last person has a turn.

-Whatever amount is in the machine then will be cashed out and 2 people will take that slip to the cashiers window to get the cash.

Money will be distributed evenly among the players. The left over will be given to the person scoring the highest for the team. Each person will initial their name on the clipboard when they receive their winnings.

For example if 14 people play and win $264. The each player gets $18 and the leftover $12 goes to high scorer. It is very helpful for people to have dollar bills, so you can distribute more easily. In this example, the group leader can hand a person a $20 and get 2 $1 back. The casino will not want to give you a bunch of ones.

There were 5 of you who wanted my information on the Slot Pull and put in your request while I was gone. I have sent the email to each of you and if there are any questions, you now have my email address so you can get back yo me with any questions.

Have fun with this on your cruise.

Just got back from the Baltic region (had great weather and so much fun). We did have a Slot Pull but only 22 participated. That is not a bad number but the more than are involved the more fun it is. We each got back $11 do that was not bad and we had way more than $4 worth of fun.

Hi Ann,

I am helping out with the Slot Pull on the Crown Princess in Oct/Nov and want to THANK YOU so very much for all the information you have shared with Mike to date.

I have your spread sheet and all seems straight forward....I have one question. Did you allow sign ups after the cruise began or only pre-cruise on RC?

I am soooo appreciative! :D

Roxanne,

I do allow people to join who were on the RC and failed to sign up in advance. They may tell me at the Meet and Greet that they reconsidered and want to join in the fun. What I do not allow is someone just walking through the Casino who may see that we are doing well, inquire as to what is going on and want to join. unless they are part of Cruise Critic in advance, I do not let them in. That has happened a few times during a Slot Pull and I advise those "party crashers" that this is only for Cruse Critic people.

You are so very welcome.

And I want to clarify for anyone reading this thread that these are just my opinions. There are no hard and fast rules as to how to run a Slot Pull. My opinions are based strictly on what has worked and what has not worked for me in the past. Initially I participated many years ago in a Slot Pull run by another person; my first one. I thought it was done very poorly and thought it all out as to how to improve the activity and make it better for all involved. Then started organizing them on my cruises and it has worked out great for everyone.

Could someone who has Ann's sheet post it here as an attachment (after removing personal info)?

Ann - you have quite a fan club - great of you to do this!

I will be happy to send you all the information myself if you will send me an email addressed to cruzqueen@verizon.net and title it something about Slot Pull.
