Wow...great review and lovely thread. Nice to hear so many positives. Thanks to all who posted here.

Definitely looking at AZ .. .still love X ships and staff, but the overall experience has changed over the last few yrs...too much like a Royal C clone.

To quote one Captain "the only difference between the two is the art work".

As the crew interchange between the two ships this has further ensured that guests feel absolutely no difference between the two.

There are a couple of threads comparing Azamara to Oceania

http://boards.cruisecritic.co.uk/showthread.php?t=2533516

http://boards.cruisecritic.co.uk/showthread.php?t=2532144

Here's another one comparing Azamara & Seabourn

http://boards.cruisecritic.co.uk/showthread.php?t=2445648

Here's a thread from someone on Azamara for the first time, giving a blow by blow account of their cruise which gives lots of information

http://boards.cruisecritic.co.uk/showthread.php?t=2528351

Finally a thread comparing Azamara with Royal Caribbean & Celebrity

http://boards.cruisecritic.co.uk/showthread.php?t=2503597

We are not into dressing up either and find Azamara's smart casual dress code just right for us. You will see very few men with jackets (although some do wear them in the speciality restaurants - many don't though). For dinner in the MDR men generally wear shirts/polo shirts & smart trousers ( but smart jeans are also OK) - ties are very rarely seen. Women wear dresses or trousers and tops.

Hope this is helpful.
