Alaska itinerary change - Glacier Bay

SB has just replaced Icy Strait Point with Glacier Bay in the 11-day itinerary. A vast improvement!

I am not sure if the change was made for all the Alaska itineraries. In any case, check your reservation. If you had made private arrangements for Icy strait Point, you will need to cancel them.

God catch Marazul. No, the 14 day itineraries have not changed. No Glacier Bay but according the to Ventures Crew with us in Antarctica the Aialik and Holgate Glaciers on those itineraries are very special. It is all good.

We were on a non-Seabourn (tiny local ship) Alaska trip in 2015. Permitting for Glacier Bay is very restricted. It may be that they couldn't originally get the permit. I think on our trip they had to juggle the itinerary to get a Glacier Bay date. Looking forward to going back there Seabourn-style in May. It's all beautiful. Take along dishwashing rubber gloves to put over your mittens if you like to lean over the rail on wet days. Seriously.
