Book now or wait until on board

Hi All,

We have decided on our next cruise - October 2018 - should we book while we are on board in July?

Are they are offering any good on board booking specials lately?

Waiting two months may result in higher pricing. If your happy with the prices right now for your room category, I would book now and if they drop then you can get the lower price by calling the cruise lines or your TA. We always book as soon as the dates open then watch for price drops.

Or if the price is still the same, you can book now, cancel it onboard and rebook and get the OBC. (Assuming you don't have a specific cabin that you could risk losing.

We book the majority of our cruises while on board. It's great for us to book aboard because we are not distracted by the vicissitudes of daily life. We are full of cruising 'piss & vinegar' and we always have several cruises booked ahead so that debarkation is less sad.

And don't forget that enticing offer that if you book during the first 3 days of your cruise you'll get a chance to be entered into the drawing for $300.00 OBC to spend on the cruise you are on.

Also the option to spend the OBC for the future cruise you're booking on your current cruise as well...(although I think this is a bad choice).

FYI....For the OP...Know exactly what you want, the reps onboard lately (from what we've seen/heard) can be less than helpful and full of misinformation.

I disagree with booking onboard. Just tried jewel of the seas 12 day out of rome. 1048 for husband and i in a mock booking online. 1735 for same type of cabin on same cruise 20 minutes later. Same thing happened to me last October. That's why i have internet to check prices.

I should add i am onboard jewel now. The salesperson said that they could give me 50 onboard credit to make up for the $700 difference
