TA back to back - cabin

We have booked a back to back TE crossing on QM2 and have selected our stateroom for westbound crossing. My question is do we keep that cabin for the east bound return to Southampton

It depends if it's booked as a back to back or a roundtrip. ie do you have one or two booking references?

A couple of years ago, we had to swap staterooms on the morning in Brooklyn, which can prove inconvenient if you are booked onto a ship's tour and want to transfer valuables into the new safe.

OK, you should be fine then. One booking reference for the entire back-to-back voyage means the cabin you have selected is yours for that entire voyage.
