Recommendations for lunch outside of Katakolon please

We are renting a car hitting Olympia, the winery then hopefully a beach. We are not looking for lunch at Katakolon as we won't be there until we return the car. Any suggestions for good authentic tavernas off the beaten tourist path is appreciated!

There are several restaurants in Olympia which would probably fit the bill, but the drive between Olympia and Katakalon did not have much. The restaurants are on the tourist path since the town caters to the site visitors,but maybe someone who went to the beach can help, as my trip was winter so we spent more time in Olympia.

We ate at a place next to the parking lot that served waffles with all types of toppings. It had a trip advisor sign in the window so you may try trip advisor for recommendations. The waffle was excellent by the way.

There is a good taverna in katakalon, farthest from the ship near the taxis that we have visited several times for great Greek salads. Also if you take a taxi to the nearby beach there is a abeachside hotel with taverna that looked good.
