SHIP: Silhouette

CABIN #: 1636 (ours) and 1640 (relatives) These are not connecting and are actually 2 cabins apart.

DECK #: 11

CLASS: AQ2

AREA: Aft of mid ship elevators

BED NEAR: Balcony

QUIET?: Yes

BALCONY VIEW: Good

BALCONY SIZE: Good - 2 chairs with footstools and a small table

WIND A PROBLEM?: Not really

SOOT A PROBLEM?: No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS:

Passengers have previous reported a loud wind noise from a vent overhead on the balcony. Since we cruised the British Isles in May and had coolish weather, we did not spend any time on the balcony and cannot comment. We did notice the balcony ceiling being lower than usual. Not an issue. Also not an issue to us was the large overhang and poles that flanked the balcony.

There is a service door directly across the hall from our stateroom. We were a bit worried that it could be a noise issue for us. However, we never heard a thing and never saw it opened. Our neighbors door, however, was very noisy. Our cabin would shake with each slamming. Because of this, I try to be considerate and quietly close the doors in all the staterooms we stay in.

SHIP: Equinox

CABIN #: 1593

DECK #: 11

CLASS: A1

AREA: Midship

BED NEAR: Window

QUIET?: No

BALCONY VIEW: Good

BALCONY SIZE: Good

WIND A PROBLEM?: No

SOOT A PROBLEM?: No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS:

The cabin was good apart from the noise on the pool deck above, most notably when a pool party was held until midnight. We had the constant thumping of the music and could hear the words clearly! The occasional movement of deck furniture in comparison was nothing.

wish more people who have been on board would fill this out,,think it would be agreat help for future cruisers

Hello, just wondering if anyone has any feedback on upfront cabins, we are in 8014 on Celebrity Constellation on a med cruise. I have never been in a balcony cabin before. All I can see from the layout is that we seem to be near elevators with cabins above an below. Can an experienced cruiser give any feedback? Thanks so much:)

The Constellation is an M Class ship. Take a look at post# 87 on the M Class cabin sticky.

Cabin #: 1550

Ship: Eclipse

Deck: 11

Class: A2

Area: Front

Bed Near Bath or Balcony: Bathroom

Quiet? No. The cabin is located next to a store cupboard containing linen and toiletries and is accessed by the stateroom attendandts throughoput the day from early morning. You will hear them opening and closing the door. You will also hear noise from above throughout the day also starting early and well past 11pm.

Balcony View: Partial obstruction due to a window cleaning ladder to your right hand side. Though the obstruction is minimal and not really an issue.

Balcony Size: Normal

Wind a Problem: No

Soot a Problem: No

Problems/Comments: See above. I would not book this cabin again.

Ship: Eclipse

Cabin #: 6328

Deck #: 6

Class: 1A

Area: Mid aft. Back of the second hump

Bed near: Bath

Quiet?: Yes

Balcony view: Good but you can see a bit of the top of the first lifeboat

Balcony size: Larger than usual but not so deep as to create a tunnel effect with a good view back down the ship

Wind a problem?: Well protected from the wind

Soot a problem?: No

Problems/comments: No but think this cabin is a little overpriced as a 1A as there is a slight view obstruction from the lifeboat but we loved it and would book it again.

Are you sure this isn't 6238?

SHIP: Silhouette

CABIN #: 7106

DECK #: 7

CLASS: Standard (we were assigned as we booked as a GTY)

AREA: Forward (really really forward....25 cabins forward of the elevators)

BED NEAR: Middle of room but closer to the closet than the actual middle

QUIET?: You never hear people in the hallway but during any docking procedure, it's extremely noisy.

BALCONY VIEW: No balcony but good view off the front of the ship, especially the helipad (we had a medical evac and watched the procedure of evac from the cabin), You also overlook the crew bar (there is a cover) and only heard one night of celebrating from there.

BALCONY SIZE: N/A

WIND A PROBLEM?: N/A

SOOT A PROBLEM?: N/A

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: At the end of the hallway, there is no sign for 7106 (as outside all the other cabins) but a blank door on the right...not even a sign with an arrow that points to the right. You open that door and it reveals TWO other doors - 7106 and 7108 (which is the family cabin that faces starboard). You always have to open 2 doors to get to your cabin from a tiny vestibule. The window is tall & angled and forms a bit of a "cubby" similar to a dormer window style, so instead of a sofa, you have 2 chairs and a small table. The bed unit is installed close to the closet and makes for a bit of tight access (design-wise, they could have installed about 18" over and make it more comfy). Extra hangers were requested and white wire hangers were delivered. The tv/safe/fridge/counter unit again is set in such a way that if you sit at the counter (think dressing table), the bathroom door hits the chair when someone exits the bathroom. Overhead storage is interesting, but you have to almost move the beds to reach it (this might be true of all cabin designs).

CLASS: Aqua

AREA: Forward

BED NEAR: Balcony

QUIET?: Yes

BALCONY VIEW: A little obstructed by bridge one deck below

BALCONY SIZE: Average

WIND A PROBLEM?: No

SOOT A PROBLEM?: No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: Great cabin. Very quiet as it is under the observation deck in front of the gym. Loved being so close to the relaxation room and spa.

SHIP: Solstice

CABIN #: 1674

DECK #: 11

CLASS: Aqua

AREA: Aft

BED NEAR: Balcony

QUIET?: Not in the morning - service entrance/storage outside cabin door

BALCONY VIEW: great unobstructed AFT view, can see other Aft balconies below, can be seen from above at the front of the balcony - not at the back

BALCONY SIZE: this was the largest non-suite balcony on the Aft - nice and wide

WIND A PROBLEM?: No

SOOT A PROBLEM?: No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: Great cabin. If you are a light sleeper and or like to sleep in the hallway noise due to service personnel may be troublesome. We would book this cabin again for sure. This cabin was originally a Concierge Class but is now Aqua.
