Love Boat

I was watching the webcam of the Regal! Goose bumps as the captain played the Love Boat theme song as they left the port. We have never sailed on Princess but this made my day!

We just deboarded the Regal. When we were leaving the port a week ago, the Disney ship was following us. The Regal played the love boat and the Disney played their theme. This went on twice and was really great.

When we started cruising over 21 years ago they always played the Love Boat Theme and it was really a great way to start our vacation and we looked forward to hearing it. Then they stopped. Glad to hear they are playing it again. :)

Only the Royal and Regal play it. They play it with their special fog horns.

You will rarely head the theme played on any of the other ships at any time other than when they have Love Boat reruns on your cabin TV.

You should have been on the Pacific Princess with me for the 50th anniversary cruise in Dec 2015. Jack Jones sang the song at the sail away deck party with the entire Love Boat cast dancing on deck. A very special cruise :)

That would of been so awesome, I may have to check with my DH about a Princess cruise one day.

We started with Disney (kids) then on to RC (teenagers) and now to Princess (empty nesters). We have sailed four different Princess ships since and love them all. Princess is our favorite. But..... that may change when we become grandparents!!!!😎😎
