Auto rental near port Canaveral

I have noticed there are cheaper car rental agencies away from port.

Is it to far to get to?

Is it worth saving $25 bucks?

Which is the easiest pick up and drop off?

We will be coming off Gem 6/5.

There are probably about a half dozen within a 10 minute or less shuttle ride.

We've gone out of PC several times and rented cars both ways. It only seems to be getting worse renting cars there especially going back to the airport.

Some factors how many ships in port that day? If a day with not many ships it will be better. Budget and Avis who we've used most of the time have really let us down the last 3 times.

Always found great deals from Budget using on line coupons. They will shuttle you both ways from Their location 1 mile from port.

Yea the thing is I drop car off after the rental place is closed

I always do national and it's a quick shuttle to the port. For a savings of $25... not even a consideration.

We'll be in PC on the Gem 6/5 as well, but don't plan to get a car this time around. We have used Avis 3 or 4 times and always found it to work well. But yeah, there are a bunch with shuttles there locally who will come pick you up.
