MS Volga Dream - extra excursions

Hi all, Wondering if there is any feedback recently on the Volga Dream Boat that cruises Moscow To St Petersburg. Am travelling early August with my Mother and am wondering what tours we should book pre and post cruise. I can see that they do a lot before and after we start cruising, Mum and I are arriving the day before so have a day to look around Moscow and are staying for another 3 nights in St P at the other end. I am wondering which places we should go back to on our own as I am sure they whizz through with a group. Or is there a places of interest that the cruise companies can not fit into their program. So far I have a night cruise in mind in both places, I found one that offers dinner as well. Looking for your ideas.

 

Also any recent feedback on this Company and Boat? I do hope we have made a good choice. Many thanks for your time everyone.
