L301 Diamond Princess - any reviews/opinions or info would be appreciated thanks

Hi this will be our 2nd cruise (Feb 2018). Our first was last year, also on the Diamond Princess - but last time we stayed on Caribe 10 deck. I was concerned about sea-sickness and requested to be in a more central area of the ship. I asked for the same this time but there didn't seem to be a balcony cabin available in that position.

My husband who is very easy-going is happy we are on Lido deck as it means he'll be closer to the pool and buffet area. I, however being a light sleeper, am somewhat worried that it may be noisy - not so much because of the activities on the Lido deck as they are at the opposite end but because there aren't cabins on the floor above us and I'm not sure if we are under a bar or just past it. Also would we feel the motion of the ship much more in L301 than we did when on C304?

You are just opposite the elevator lobby, and above you will be the elevator lobby and entrance to the spa. I would not worry about that noise. You can check what is above /below you by going to http://www.cruisedeckplans.com and using the 'drag it deck' function. EM

Thank you Essiesmom. I had seen deck plans before but didn't know about that ability to drag the decks and so really line them up and see what is directly above etc.
