Epic 2-Bedroom Family Suite...claustrophobic?

It's a little late for me to be thinking of this, but now I'm a little worried. Last year when we traveled on the Star we were in the Deluxe Owner's Suite. My dh liked everything about the cabin except he absolutely HATED that there was no balcony. He said he felt claustrophobic because he was trapped inside. This year we are traveling on the Epic and I booked a Haven 2-Bedroom Family Villa with Balcony. I just started thinking about how the bedroom only has one window and it is down a hall, through the bathroom! Has anyone stayed in this cabin before, and if so, did the bedroom feel claustrophobic?

I've stayed in the 2BR Suite on both the Epic and the Getaway. The master bedroom on the Epic is a bit tighter than on the Getaway. The only thing claustrophobic about the suite is the second smaller bedroom. My sister calls it the "broom closet".

If it just the two of you, it should be fine. The 2nd bedroom was used as a storage closet for the two of us. We didn't feel claustrophobic at all.

Our 4 kids will be with us. I'm not worried about that. It's the same layout as the DOS on Star, which was perfect (though I agree about the broom closet thing). I'm more worried about the master bedroom. On the Star there is a wall of windows, on Epic the one window is in the bathroom.

Yes, that is correct but the windows are huge so you really don't feel trapped.

We stayed in a two bedroom on epic last year. There is a heavy curtain separating the bath from the master bedroom -- no door. The curtain can be open or closed. If the curtain is open, the very large window over the tub lets in plenty of light, and you can actually see the water from the bed.

There is a real door between the living room and the master, and the toilet is in a separate little room, so there is really no reason to close the curtain unless it is to block out light early in the morning. And whether the curtain is open or closed, the kids cannot get to your bathroom without walking though your bedroom area.

Just off of the Epic May 1st and we never closed the drapes between the bedroom and the bathroom....so you have a clear view of open window looking from your bed. And the living room area has the sliding glass doors to the balcony.....we closed these a few times...you will not feel closed in at all!

I do agree with other posts that the "2nd" bedroom is more of a large closet! And that is exactly what we always use it for. Even travelling as a couple, I DO overpack....DH needs to bring much work/study books and materials....so this works well for us!

But please do not worry about this stateroom! We have had "larger" but it never felt closed in or claustrophobic.....keep those drapes and curtains open (IF you are not like us and come in from the casino at 3:00 or 4:00 am!) and the sun will awaken you always!
