Private Guide Recommendation?

It looks like my husband and I will be traveling to Dominca aboard Adventure of the Seas in February/March of next year. Typically we try to hire private guides in port. My husband is an avid photographer and loves to visit waterfalls, scenic vistas, historic cities, beaches (for photographs, not to hang out), etc. We have been to the island once before and took a ship sponsored tour, so we would like to go the private route this time. Has anyone used a private guide on Dominica? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Not completely private as you will be with some others but not a ship's tour either check out the tours offered by Levi Barron.

We've done almost all of his tours and wouldn't go with anyone else in Dominica.

The waterfalls and more tour should be just what you're looking for.

We are doing a whale watching tour with "Dive Dominica". They are listed on Trip advisor. We have wanted to go to Dominica for years because that is where the whales and dolphins are seen year round. There are several companies that do these tours and they are less expensive if you book on your own than on the ship. Look at the following websites for more information:

I've been told you can get great pictures of the whales and the island.

I just got off the phone today with a guy named reyno. I sent him a email late last night and he offers a great tour. And seemed really nice and upfront about the whole itenary. His site is reynotours.net We are doing a river tubing tour and visiting a couple of waterfalls and sightseeing of the island for $150 for 2 or $60 per person for more people. The more you have the cheaper per person from what i understand.

He web page also looks very professional, and you pay when you get there.

We will be there in december and I will post on here how it was when we get back so keep a look out.
