Walkable from the ship or should we take a taxi?

You will likely find your ship runs a shuttle bus to the town and the beach/prom is easily walkable from there. The tourist bars etc. will be to the left if you go straight towards the shore from the shuttle bus drop off point.

We were on a Fred Olsen ship late last year and there were shuttle busses. I do not know what taxis cost, but if you pick one up at the port you are likely to be charged more than the going rate!
