Silversea and Tunisia

I can't find anything about Silversea cancelling Tunisia (La Goulette) as a port stop. Seems like it would be a good idea.

I still don't think the Spirit going to Tunisia on the May 2, 2016 Spirit cruise is a good idea. If it stops there, I will not be getting off the ship.

If it goes there and you don't like it, just stay on the ship.

If the ship stops in Tunisia I am not getting off.

I just had my TA check with Silversea and the May 2nd cruise has had an official change to its itinerary and it is not going to Tunisia any longer. It has been substituted with Taormina, Italy.

I just could not see how we would be stopping there with all the problems with Terrorism and yes it was cancelled and yes we are going 2 days now to Sicily. I am pleased with the change!

Having been to both Taormina and Tunis, I think I would pick Taormina as a destination.

I always felt a little on edge in Tunis, like your gut is telling you to be hyper vigilant.

However, a sad commentary on life in our world today that terrorists can wield such control.
