At my dinner table on the QM2 last November, I met a lovely lady, Lee Laurino, who writes a travel blog: http://www.maturesolotravel.com. When I mentioned my mom came over on the Queen Mary as a war bride in 1946, Lee became very interested in the subject and we went down to Maritime Quest and viewed the war bride panel there. Lee wanted as many details as I could provide of my mom's story and also did research on her own and it resulted in beautiful article on her blog: "War Brides: The Queen Mary Transports WW ll Brides." The article was dated 7/5/2015 and you can easily find it on her blog by scrolling back a few pages...........I think many of you will also find her other articles extremely interesting and informative and articles are always loaded with lots of pictures. I so admire her as she does all this traveling alone and is now planning this Fall's trip................Another example of the marvelous people you can met on Cunard ships....................
