Yes, I've seen it on QM2

On the 2014 QE World Voyage there was a group that got together most sea days to play.

Saw the game box on one of the tables on the way to Illuminations on QM2 last month.

Anyone who has not played could easily try Mah Jongg with an on line site to get the basics and then when on board give it a go. Personally I am trying to learn Craps as they have a table of this bewildering game in the casino.

If you're interested here is a link to rules for American Mah Jongg. You do need 4 players plus a recent NMJL Hands & Rules card. Who knows? Maybe there'll be other mah jongg players on your cruise. Have fun.

That's where I looked. I saw a lot of Scrabble, cards, and a giant on-going jigsaw puzzle though.

There are a few things that are good to commit to memory: what are the amounts of "odds" bets for a $5 or $10 line bet, and what are the standard "place" bets for 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10. The dealers will help you with these but the play goes faster if you know that much about it.

Host Hattie, no it didn't spoil my trip at all :). There were so many other things to do, and one of my favorites was to just spend some time on a lounger on the Promenade Deck. This was our first on Cunard and it was wonderful. We always go on Princess and I really can't compare the two...they are just too different. There is a place in my life for both now.:) :)

I just returned from a cruise on HAL Eurodam; they had a beautiful Mah Jongg set and put announcements in the daily brochure for players but no one other than myself ever showed up to play.

I'll be on HAL Volendam 12/22/15 to 2/2/16 so if any Mah Jongg players are sailing at that time, let's get together.

Welcome to Cruise Critic. There should be a specific board for your HAL Eurodam cruise, where your posting would be more likely to connect you with Mah Jongg players who will actually be on that ship with you.

Stay here and you will have to book with Cunard ; ) (Although, worse things could happen)
