Akaroa tender questions for earliest possible start for private tour

I'm organizing a private tour with 20 others from my roll call in Akaroa, NZ. I want to try to get everyone into the tender port at the same time to meet with our tour guide. We have an all day tour but the sooner we get off the ship the more we will see.

I've been on a private tour that a suite passenger arranged. He got Michaels club access to next tender for all of us. If we happen to have a suite passenger is this a common occurrence or did he have a special arrangement? Is there a limit? I think he got 16 of us escorted to next tender.

If Elite or higher, how many tickets can an individual get? I'm not sure if we can get more than just for our stateroom. I'm sure there are several who are new to cruising so we all wont have priority availability.

I don't think all of us will need to be in line but not sure how many we will need to get tickets for all of us if our only option is standing in line for earliest possible tickets How many tickets can an individual get for tenders?

Thanks for any help you can give me for earliest possible start for a private tour.

From what I can remember from earlier this year, tender tickets were numbered and came on a first come first serve basis. You just need to be alert as to when they become available. As we are elite we didn't need to queue for them.

We also arranged a private tour and 10 out of 12 were also Elite so had to wait for the remaining 2 to come across, luckily for us they also got on a early tender so the wait time was minimal.

Elite loyalty club status saw us on the 3rd tender across and the trip took just 20 minutes. No local boats were used and Celebrity made use of all 6 of the life boats they use for such purposes to provide the ship to shore transfer. I was pleasantly surprised how efficiently they got everyone ashore.
