Bahamas - Return, Flight Timings - Risk?

Hello!

Not very used to cruise timings et'al and appreciate some guidance here.

My ship arrives in Miami from Bahamas at 8am. I'm not sure if till arrive on time or how long the checkout process will be,. My parents will need to go through immigration as they are tourists to the US.

I have 2 flight options - 12:30pm and 7:30pm from Ft. Lauderdale

How risky is it to try to get on to the 12:30 flight? I see a 45 min drive from the port to FLL airport too :(

Did you ever get an answer to this? I think 12:30 since you have to get to Ft. Lauderdale is cutting it a bit close.
