Classic Italy Questions

Hi

We will be on the Breeze in September for the classic Italy and Dalmation Coast...very excited to visit these ports and to be on the new Breeze!

Any tips for ports would be welcomed.....

A question about the new ships....do they have a last night party as they do on the Surf? If so what is the typical dress code? I know there is no code per se,however when we were on the Surf most people were dressed in cocktail dresses and jackets ...this may have been a result of Monte Carlo being on that trip and people had those clothes with them. I would like to know your experience with this if you have been on The Classic Italy trip??

None of the recent reviews..though few..have mentioned this party...at which the crew is the entertainment...maybe they do not do this on the new ships???

The last evening party on the Surf was so much fun...the talented crew were amazing, lots of dancing...wish they did it more nights!

Thank you for your response. The barbecue night is wonderful! Maybe on the new ships we won't need to bring the fancy clothes. We were on the Surf from Barcelona to Rome and the last evening the crew put on a show in the main lounge. Very talented CrewI might add. It was fun and lots of dancing after the show. But people were dressed up. Might just be something they do on the Surf.

Was on the Surf in early May for the Classic Italy & Dalmatian Coast itinerary. If you are fit, don't miss the climb up the side of the hill in Kotor. Great memories and a great workout, too. And then check out the wine bars in the old town..so good and so cheap! The olive oil tasting and Pula tour in Rovinj was amazing. We brought back several bottles of the oil and have been enjoying it since. In Capri there is a boat tour and funicular excursion that bypasses the Blue Grotto...unless you like that sort of thing (it was a 2 hour wait as we motored by)...and it was excellent. In Dubrovnik, you can do the cable car on your own rather than pay for a tour...and the view really is worth it! Other than that, we did the rest on our own and had a wonderful time!!

Thank you for your advice. We are booked on the very same Capri tour you mentioned...not interested in the Grotto..would rather spend the time tasting the cuisines, wines and sampling that olive oil. We will look into the olive oil tour sounds like it might be fun. Definitely will do the climb as well. Can't wait...only a few more weeks...never wanted summer to be over so fast before 😎
