Trying Something New......

In St. Maarten, consider the Royal Pasanggrahan, which is near the Holland House and is very tropical, lush, well maintained, beautiful. My idea of a true Caribbean hotel. New section is all suites, and they are gorgeous. Hotel was used by Dutch royalty for many years. Very nice open-air restaurant. Great outdoor covered bar area, with lush foliage and on the boardwalk with beach and ocean right there. Lots of restaurants, funky little bars, beach toy rentals, even beach entertainers on the boardwalk. Get a room or suite that overlooks the beach. The other side of the hotel overlooks a very busy road.

Hotel is at the end of the boardwalk nearest the docks.

Add re Royal Pasanggrahan and boardwalk areas: while it is nearest the docks, it is not an easy walk to the docks, especially with bags....along a narrow and very busy road, and walk would take about 15 minutes or more.

We use a cab.

I want to thank all of you for your help but I have decided to change

my plans....I am going on a River cruise out of Amsterdam.......Holland

and Belgium on the itinerary....it is called TULIP TIME:D...Windstar will

have to wait:)...maybe I will do it it 2017....
