Transportation from Port of Miami to Miami International

I have trouble waiting in that line of taxis after we clear customs. Any good ideas about somone or service that can pick us up and get us to the airport?

Will they take 2 people for $20, or do they wait to fill the (probably) 8 seater van so they can get the $75? If they go with 2 people, then it's less than the $24 taxi rate, which is a little unusual.

The flat rate from POM to MIA is now $27+tip

...speaking from personal experience, I'd rather walk than take a taxi anywhere in Miami. Nasty, smelly, hot cars (the A/C never seems to work) with unbelievably rude drivers (ok, not all of them but many of them)

And if they don't like the tip you give them, they slam the car door on you and mutter an audible explicative.

It's no wonder the private car services are doing so well here.

The shuttles will wait to fill if not a pre-booked full van. No they won't take 2 people on that run for a per passenger rate.

Lots of drivers roam the cab lines luring cruisers with the $10 fee. Then they make you SIT until they have enough riders . Not smart if wanting to get to the airport at a certain time.
