Cheers & Casino Drinks on Us ~ Last Week on Imagination!

For anyone interested... me and my girlfriends bought the Cheers package last weekend for our 3 night cruise for $172ish each.

Went to Casino Day 1 to play penny slots and BlackJack, where they announced Free Drinks if you reached 1,000 points. One of the girls in our group reached 1,000 points by the following morning after spending several hours, and less than $200.00 in the casino. She asked about a refund on the Cheers package and they would not give it to her, plus told her that the free drinks she earned could only be used in the casino.

The Drinks on Us card is always good in the casino WHILE playing only. The only exception I'm aware of is those invited to the Elite casino cruises and spending $200 in the casino won't get you that invite LOL.

We always buy Cheers and I always get the DOU card too. Now that they combine the two programs so you are still limited to 15 per day, the casino drink program isn't any good to us except that it includes bottled water and coffee (again, only while playing in the casino).

Sorry your friend misunderstood the casino free drink program :(.

We always purchase the Cheers program and really like the idea that Carnival gives us the Drinks on Us Card, its a NICE incentive but now that they combine the two programs they do not offer us anything "special", as a result, after my next casino getaway cruise which is next week, we will choose RC from now on. The other good thing is that RC doesn't have any drink limit, not that I ever got to the 15 but I no longer have to count drinks.

You can get bottled water or coffee with the casino drink card but not with the cheers so that does make a difference
