This is the Carnivale. I sailed her on my first cruise December of 1978. I was just 21 years old. Where I started loving cruising.

My first ship doesn't go back nearly that far. Our first was the Glory back in 2005. Looking forward to sailing on her once again in just 8 short weeks.

My first cruise was on the Bermuda Star in 1984. Over the years, she changed hands a few times and became the Enchanted Isle of Commodore Cruise Line.

I sailed again on her in 1999. Alas, she went to the breakers in India.

The Ecstasy last May out of Charleston. A great starter/newbie ship with lots to do and break you in to cruising. I would go back on her in a minute and will forever hold her near and dear to my heart.

The Norwegian Norway. Seems like a lifetime ago.

I won't be able to sail her again on any line since she was sold for scrap last year.

Interesting! Our first cruise was also on the Glory in October 2005.

Big Red Boat when I was only 5 years old. I remember doing class work onboard too! My parents were sticklers for keeping us current with school while cruising!

1963 Queen Elizabeth TA to Southhampton. We were in steerage. Bathroom was down the hall. First class had the most beautiful auditorium with red velvet curtains and chairs. Ours was a cabin sized room with metal folding chairs and one of those pull down screens where I watched a Peter Sellers movie 3 times. Grandma made me play bingo which I thought was for old people. I let everyone go ahead of me sure they'd run out of tickets...I won $22.
